- Have you actually phoned lancaster? My insurance with Lancaster last year was #360. They sent me a renewal form that said it was going to be if I phoned them. When I phoned them I got a quote for #25

- I doubt you will EVER find a better quote than Footman-James on a Spitfire. I have never paid over 150 UKP for my policy for 3 Triumphs (sometimes Spitfires) at agreed value, unlimited mileage, braek

- Ask them why it is so high when they quote. Having use of a 'normal' car, having a garage to store your classic in and being a member of a club can all greatly affect the cost of classic insurance.
