- FE was used in and around 1969 for the 1296cc engine. Just to be sure, Does the engine have two intake ports or four? Two it's an 1147, four it's a 1296 or 1500. MikeC

- You've got a water outlet from the 63 and the water pump housing from the 69. They changed places somewhere in-between. If you tried both, it sounds more like wiring, power or gauge problem. MikeC It
