Go to NAPA and get part # A68031.  Its a oil pressure safety switch.  When
there is no oil pressure, there is no power to the pump.  When you turn the
key to the start position, it will supply power the the pump to fill the
carb. Once the engine starts, oil pressure comes up and it switches power to
the pump.  I like this better than just an inertia switch because you can
turn the key to the on position and the pump will not run until the car is
started. Probably best to have both an inertia switch and a oil switch. I
mounted my pump on the frame slightly in front of the rear wheel, I made an
aluminum shield to protect it from any debris
