- I have always used either Castrol GT LMA or Lockheed Super 4 in my British cars. I'm leery of using other fluids because they "may not" be compatible with natural rubber gaskets and seals. Mark 1980

- Originally there was no spark at #3. I put a new set of plugwires on and now there is spark. I think I lead you astray, when I said there was no change, I meant in terms of how the engine was acting.

- The Crane ignition system has been installed since the end of June, replaced a Pertronix unit, which replaced the original Opus system several years ago. There was several hundred miles on the Crane

- Found the problem. Two years ago I had the HS4s rebuilt, including teflon bushings on the throttle valve. While looking over the car Friday I found one of the teflon bushing has completely out place,
