I don't know the lenght but I once saw the prop rod replaced with what looked like the trunk stay. Also could you use a gas cylinder like what is on a late model car? That would be cool...unlatch you

I think you would have to change the mounbting point on the inner fender and the cylinder would push "forward" instead of "up". (It would be easier to show on a car than try to explain in words.) Br
