I have the glass sediment bowl with the screen that is part of the fuel pump and also have a glass bowl with a pumice type filter just before the carb as you describe. Both do a great job a catching

I use a soft brush and lacquer thinner, but have only had to clean off rust sediment mainly. Grant 50 3100 oletrucks is devoted to Chevy and GM trucks built between 1941 and 1959
