- The engine does have some bearing here. A 216 with 3.55 gears may be a little disappointing if you want to haul firewood up side of a hill. I could hardly notice a difference between the 3.90 and 4.1

- Tom, your task force would be very easy because it had an OD option. You would need the whole trans as they use a different mainshaft for the OD. The OD option used a 4.10 rear but 3.90 works fine. Y
