- Be very careful before trying this. Old Lionel train transformers put out ALTERNATING CURRENT, not DC. They also go higher than 12 volts, possibly up to 20VAC. Use a multimeter first and veryify the

- Have you folks tried cutting an old bicycle inner tube to fit over the tailgate chains? Just put a hole at the bottom to vent the rain out. It's cheap, cuts the noise, and doesn't look too bad. Dave
