Can any one telt me what the minimum pipe thichness is on a 1./4" pipe to stay within the rules. We calculated that 0.049 is the minimum, but I just want to make sure of that. Is it possible to go e

You can't go thinner even when using chromoly. You would have been able to had the only requirement be matching of Sy*I/c. But the EI needs to be matched too. The smallest dimension is 1.25"x0.049" t

Actually, if I recall correctly, the MIN. wall thickness is .040. However there is no such tubing size..BUT...if you could get a foundry to produce a limited batch, you could save some weight ;-) .04

.049 isn't very difficult but it's not the easiest stuff. We had to slow down to about half or 1/3 of the speed we welded even 0.065. Granted that none of us are expert welders, but even the welding

Yeah that gets to be a problem....UNLESS you have a mandrel bender.......and if u dont have that a normal bender can do a very good job. Albiet on some bends you will have to reinfoce it due to a bi
