I put the shifter plate in a vise and whacked the 2 tabs on one side with a chisel to pry them up, then slid it apart without disturbing the tabs on the opposite side. Carl Floyd

I bought two Camaro V8 T-5's in the past few months. Both have .63 overdrive. One mechanical speedo, the other is electronic. It takes awhile to find a good one. The '89 was $200 and the '91 was $500
