- Also use yellow teflon tape for gas leaks. This is thicker tape then the white for water or the blue styles. The leak can also be from the sending unit and there is a gasoline resistant gasket sealer

- Why would you want to do that? If emergency brake works correctly - then inn effect you are ok. Dual brake systems did not come into general use till the 1970's - somehow all the cars before that man
