I found out the hard way with a shorter wheel base car than yours that a panhard bar will prove to wrap one leaf spring more than the other. You won't notice it too bad until you unload the power -

The filter used by winston cup guys are fram hp-1 or hp-2. Can't remember, one is fuel, the other oil. Anyway, we use a Wix racing filter. Available at parts stores for around 20 bucks. Real simple s
