Nope. Trying to follow along per the buckeye article. He recommended removing the rear housing while the OD is still attached. My next try will be to remove the whole unit unless I have an aha moment

Well I looked at the Buckeye Triumphs site again and by golly you're right, that's what he says. I've never done it that way and I think I'll continue to remove the whole OD before I disassemble it.

Glenn is correct. You cannot disassemble it that way. You are working AGAINST the cast iron brake ring, which is held to the other half of the casing via the bridge pieces Take the OD off the gearbox

There should be a difference between 3 synchro and 4 synchro box mainshafts. The earlier boxes used the large accumulator which is more desirable for racing. ?- Larry
