- If the engine has not been fired in a long time, you may want to pull the distributor and spin the oil pump to pressurize the oiling system before you start it up. I haven't made the tool nor primed

- If the cam was replaced or new lifters installed you need to run the engine for at least 20 minutes at about 2500 rpms. This breaks in the lifters and cam (if applicable) and all good engine builders

- If you're going to do it this way, squirt a few cc's of oil into each cylinder first. And don't run the starter more than about 15 seconds at a time.
