Paul, my needle only goes from empty when the key is off, to full when the key is on. As I drive, the needle doesn't move. I've never gone below 1/2 tank for fear of running out...but so far nothing.

My fuel gauge only reads 3/4 full when it is completely full of gas. It also goes below the "E" when empty. Is there an easy way to adjust the reading? I know the voltage regulator that's attached un

I'm not sure if the reading on the fuel gauge is solely based on resistance (I think it is) or if voltage level effects it, too. Tom, HELP! If it is purely resistive as I think, you need to know the

Yep my gas gauge works about the same way. I'm not sure what the oil pressure gauge means. My water temp is intermentant with grounding problems. when it does work I don't know what is means either.

I have experienced the same problem with an MG Midget. The problem was not electrical, but rather mechanical. The plastic float developed a "leak" and partially filled with fuel. This allowed the fl

Good thought, Jeff, and there's an access plate in the roadster's trunk (68 and later, anyhow) so 4 screws will get you in. Might want to have a spare gauge seal, in case the old one's dead. The send

I've had the same problem with my 64 1500. The float was fine. However, the gauge would only read about 1/4 tank. I removed the sender from the tank and moved the float up and down. The gauge worked

Sounds like a bias error (some const. resistance offset). I would check all the electrical connections first. If that doesn't work then, instead of trying to figure out what resistor to install, pul
