Did it say why? Is the starter itself that expensive, or is the procedure somewhat as Dick O'Kane once described for a Jaguar, where you "take the car off the starter?" Andy Mace

My neighbors Nissan Pathfinder's starter was very easy to get to. Good thing, too, because you had to partially remove it to change the oil filter.
