- It's not necessary to press the clutch when engaging the overdrive. It's recommended to switch the overdrive not under heavy load situations as this adds additional wear to the internal OD hydraulic

- Sure the rest of the world (outside US) got the 1500 with 70 hp DIN. They use 2 SUs and another head (with higher compression). I`m not sure if the camshaft was changed as well. Tom -- Thomas Jell |

- QUESTIONS for brit list folk! I would go for the OD. I have ODs in both of my TRs and special here on the German Autobahns they're a crucial. With a speed limit of 55 or 65 you probably not even need

- NoNoNo No additives in Overdrives !!! There is a clutch and it will begin to slip with one of these like Slick50. Have a look at your owner manuals. They should tell you the same. The stuff is good

- I use a Castrol 80W-90 and/or Castrol 90 in my Overdrives. Works well. Sure If you drain the oil from the OD Unit look what's else at the magnetic ring under the oil pump. Should be no metal there.
