>There is no mention of a connection to the case, or any ground ("earth"
for our UK friends).
But it's usually screwed to the speedometer and that's ground !!!
It won't work without ground.
So I'm not very confident about having one of the three connections connected
to ground.
So I would go for
a double connection with both 12v in and out to the oil pressure gauge,
green wires
single connection to temperature gauge, green/lightgreen wire
single connection to fuel gauge, green/lightgreen wire
case mounted to ground
That's how the did it in my Spitfire.

exactly how they do it, fine English workmanship. If you have a broken one,
take the time to look into !
>BTW, I have heard 10v, 6v and 4.5v as the voltage these things are
supposed to regulate to. Anybody know?
No I'm not able to check it. If you use a voltmeter you can follow the impluses
...
Let me know how things proceed
