Looking for some more help (as usual) with my TR. I'm having a problem with overheating. The engine was rebuilt two years ago and has less then 5k miles on it. The radiator tested good at that time a

Mark--The pusher configuration is not the most efficient way to go. How large is the fan (does it cover the entire rad core?) and can it be converted to puller? Is the fan's T-stat adjustable to a lo

My first response when people type in about overheating is to encourage them to buy a cheap meat thermomometer and when the coolant is cold, remove the radiator cap and check out what the actual tem

Mark--One thing often overlooked when experiencing overheating, is the radiator pressure cap. Oil coolers aren't needed for most street engines. I doubt if one would help in your case. As others ment

Hi List, I'm a bit curious where the idea that 185 F is too hot for a TR6 engine comes from. To my understanding, engines run more efficiently when they are good and warm ( say 200 + F) the radiator

Kendall--You are correct. Engines are said to run better just short of the boiling point of water. The idea here is to not let too much of the energy created by combustion heat to sink into the block
