Mark---One thing often overlooked when experiencing overheating, is the radiator pressure cap. Oil coolers aren't needed for most street engines. I doubt if one would help in your case. As others mentioned, check the "real" temp, including the voltage compensator (if the fuel gauge also climbs) You mentioned that you've checked the ignition timing. Worth another look? Lots has been written about how the retard affects engine heat at idle. Is your engine "stock"? Dick |
