the Triumph Register of America has covered this in the past rather
better than has VTR, at least for the earlier TRs. Beyond that, though,
one good source of available colors for trim and paint is the factory
spares manual itself, listing all sorts of wonderful information about
fawn, blackberry and ice blue hoods, tonneaus, furflex trim, etc., etc.
Sales literature often is a great source as well. Of course, neither of
those (nor any other contemporary source) is ideal, as specifications
changed frequently, and Standard-Triumph was prone to building to almost
any special order at various times.

I don't recall ever seeing VTR publish such lists for any Triumphs. It
would be wonderful to see such lists for as many different Triumphs as
possible, given the caveats above and other research struggles. (I, for
one, would love to know what color interior would have been specified
for a Pale Lilac Triumph 10 sedan, as I can't really imagine the normal
blue, red, beige or grey going all that well with Lilac!)

I'm willing to try to put together what I can for early Heralds, Tens
and maybe some other models.
