My first log book dated 3.71 says on the cover "Central Division Car Log
Book." Additional copies could be ordered directly from Don Nixon in Michigan
City, who then published Sports Car.
In 1972 the format became somewhat larger and the cover now reads "Vehicle
Log Book" with the SCCA logo.
In 1973 it became "SCCA Competition Log Book and Driver's Record." Prior to
'73 the "comments" section was intended for scrutineers' remarks about tech
compliance. In the back of the '73 log book it states: "This log book is a
record of competition activities only. Driver infractions are NOT to be
recorded." (!?)
