    Possibly one of the earliest women in racers, albeit not in the U. S., 
was Gwenda Stewart who set speed and distance track records in Morgan three 
wheelers in the late '20s and early '30s.
     Also piloting a Morgan, though the four wheeled variety, was a Miss 
Fawcett, who with a Mr. White, entered the 24 Hours of LeMans in 1938.  They 
finished 13th overall out of42 starters.
    There is also a Miss Butler listed in a number of Morgan three wheel 
cycle car records from the mid to late twenties!
