My local SCCA newsletter carried a "for sale" that seems
alive with potential.
For Sale - 1960 SAAB 93F, sunroof, 750cc. Stored since 1968.
Last used on night rally. Many Spares.
The year and engine spec. make this one the SAAB's 3 cylinder
two strokes. This was the type of car which helped launch "sedan
racing" towards the TransAm era; in the days before the TA
there were several sedan enduros on the east coast, like
Lime Rock's Little LeMans and the Marlboro 12 Hour.
The car in question does indeed have a "competition history",
having been used for rallys, hillclimbs, and gymkhanas (which is
what the sport of US-style autocross used to be called).
I've got one car too many already hanging around (unless you know
someone in the market for a '64 Formcar FV) but for anyone who may have
an interest contact C.A. Foster 518 677 3057 (h) or 518 854 3966 (w).
The car is located near Cambridge NY, about 50 miles north of Albany.
Happy Motoring
