I agree. On my '67 Midget, I run 5lbs fuel pressure at the regulator in the
trunk near the fuel cell. I had problems at 6000 rpm+ when I ran 2+ psi. I
also don't use any atf in the carbs. The throttle response is quicker
without it because it is intended to be a damper for street car use.
