Subject: Too Much Weber ?

I wonder if I'm using too much carb. My Alfa came with 45mm Webers, so I've
continued to use them. Friends tell me that I should be using 40's or 42's.
The engine is an Alfa 1600 with a Sperry stage 5 head and 11.5 to 1 comp. I
run it up to about 7000 rpm. The dyno shows max HP at about 5750 rpm.
What do you think ?
