I recently had a 1500 block built up for my 64 Spitfire. Although the original 1147 head fits, I'm thinking of going with the 1500 head. Good idea right? Also, is it worth it to port/flow and polish the thing? Currently, the engine is stock with the exception of a header, Mallory Dual Point, Webber and I'm thinking of putting in a hotter cam. I'd like a bit more performance with out loosing reliability. I'm also interested in Vintage Racing. Any suggestions? Peter Lucas "64 Spitfire/1500 |
