I doubt if your problem is the filter. An oil system with cold oil can reach pressures of several hundred #'s. The only time I've ever blown up a filter was a cold morning at Hallet when the oil pump relief vvalve stuck. Watch your gauge when youn start it up. If the gauge pegs, shut it down and free up the relief. Gary Wood |
