So I remember reading, I believe on the list, that when the ring and =
pinions as original from Triumph were manufactured that they were run =
with a compound that bedded the ring and pinion as a =E2=80=9Cset=E2=80=9D=
and that this considerably reduced differential howl. I think that the =
thread was to the effect that the new ring and pinion sets were not =
=E2=80=9Cmatched and thus a lot louder.
Does anyone know (remember) if this is correct?
