Stuart, I mounted my pump at the rear of the boot well. Remember filter before the pump. I replaced the mechanical pump with a regulator with gauge. Some one on this list sells the plate that blocks off the spot where the pump used to be. I have the same pump and system on all 3 of my TRs. 58 3, 62 4 and 72 6. No problems in almost 20 years.
