I used a power steering pump for a 1967 Corvette to replace the one in my Stag. The basic pump is the same but I did have to swap the reservoir tank. I swapped the relief valve tension spring as well but I honestly could not see a difference between them. I was just being careful as US cars generally run higher line pressure which can damage the rack seals.
