It is generally recommended any material top should be raised for a day or =
two once a month. This keeps it from "setting" into a position. It also k=
eeps it from wearing at the same points constantly=2C and keeps it stretche=
d. This is more important with vinyl than cloth. It also depends on the i=
nstaller of the top - how much experience with cloth=2C with the cars? As =
far as what to do now=2C wait for a warm day=2C park the car in the sun=2C =
put the top up as much as you can. As it gets hotter stretch it a little m=
ore. Then go back regularly and stretch again. Little by little it should=
pull. Then leave it up stretched for as long as you can.What I do when th=
e top is down=2C is put pieces of leather in strategic places subject to ru=
b to protect the top.

Thanks for you response.=20
Why do you say "it should be"(put up regularly)? I.e. did someone tell you =
that it's better for the tops if they spend most of their time in the raise=
d position? I wonder if keeping my roof raised more often would have preven=
ted my tops from becoming too narrow to reach the Velcro strips on the side=
rails.=20
I'm also wondering what I can do now to my "shrunk" Sunfast top so it will =
again reach the Velcro on the side rails.
