[TR] TR3's mysterous closure!

List,
Now that I finished most of my welding, my TR3 upper door gap/scuttle gap has
mysterously closed!  If I take out some of the front body mounting pads is it
likely to widen again?

I have already welded both A & B posts pretty solid down at the inner sill.
