Paul, The key measure here would be your inside-leg measurement, rather than how tall you are. Or they would sell pants by height. I'm 6'2" and have relatively short legs (33") and fit a TR4 footwell OK. The back of the TR4 (TR3-style) bucket seat ends somewhat below my shoulderblades, as I have a long back. I am not sure I am clear on where the welding is that you hope to hide, but wouldn't a carpet set cover your work?
