Except that the TR3 is one of the rare cars where the marks are 2 quarts apart.
I find that if I let the level sink to the bottom mark, then the pump can suck
air during spirited driving (oil pressure gauge drops to zero then comes back
up), which IMO is not a good thing. So, I add a quart when the level is below
1/2 between the two marks.
