Umm don't count on that. With enough load, your generator might not be
putting out quite enough power to completely recharge the battery and
keep everything running but you will not notice it with the ammeter.
You really need to have a volt meter to catch a generator that is not
quite handling the load.
There's a lot to be said about swapping out the ammeter with a Smiths
voltmeter & convex lens
