I acquired a ZS175CD carb of unknown origin recently from a fellow club
member. It appeared to be in good condition, so I disassembled and
thoroughly cleaned it, new gaskets, etc.
The odd thing (to me) was that the fuel intake tube was on the left side of
the carb rather than on the right side as on the other 2 carbs on my 76 TR6.
I removed my rear carb and installed this "new" one to see of it would run
ok, with visions of someday having a triple ZS set-up. To my surprise, after
just a little adjusting, it worked just fine, with no noticeable difference
in any speed range or throttle setting. Plugs look good.
Anyone know what car this might be from? No carb number tag on it. Any
reason not to use it?
Thanks,
Tom
