Trying to service sender as the contact between the wpers and the wirewound resistor is intermittent in some spots. Have top off and am peering into the "can" - is it safe to simply pull the resistor out, or is there a trick? Also, how to clean the wipers? I don't want to bend them much (if at all) for fear of them scraping the resistor's wire too hard. Pencil eraser maybe?
