Guys,
Just fired up the 63, and after sitting for 2 years she fired right up.
This one is CT 13917 L. It is white with the remains of a black interior.
Fairly solid but in need of everything. Very original car underhood. I did
replace the Lodge spark plug wires and original Cap this morning, cleaned up
the
Lucas Coil, dated 62, and I will tune it this afternoon once I get some fresh
fuel and new oil in her. Sure nobody wants this thing? This car is a
survivor and would be easy to restore. The nasty thing is the battery tray
which is
rusted real bad. The outer sills are separated from the inners and a few
rust areas on the fenders are also present. The car was resprayed sometime
and
overspray is abundant. All other areas, floor, trunk and frame look good and
she was a strong runner/daily driver two years ago. I am the third owner.
If I start getting into it further I will of course get attached to it and
in so deep that I will never be able to sell. I already have the 62 that is
done so now is the time. If I were to restore it I would do it frame on. I
am going to start at somewhere over $6,000 and negotiate up. This car could be
a Concours Winner or a great daily driver. When it was on the road it would
fill the mirrors of my 250.
It is in Akron, OH. If anyone is interested contact me off list.
Cheers,
Darrell
PS I have a Surrey Top that could go with the deal
