Boot seal TR4A

Listers,
I am installing a new boot (trunk) seal and the 1 I have is not
symetrical in cross section. When in place it has a slight lean to 1
side. Should it lean in or out? The other question I have is what kind
of adhesive should I use to keep it in place?
