The similarities between the TRs and the Fergies never cease to amaze me.
Even though on the tractor the choke "cable" is a piece of solid rod with
threaded ends, the very same model of choke retainer was found in the
toolbox upon the tractor's arrival at my home. It took me a while to figure
out what it could be, but now it enjoys regular use. (When I got my second
Fergie, I immediately searched for - and found! - the same model of choke
retainer for it as well. As it has no toolbox yet, I have got into the
habit of putting it on the gearshift lever as soon as the engine has warmed
up.)
50 year old technology is wonderful in its simplicity.
