I'm in Detroit for the Woodward Avenue Dream Cruise. For those who don't know,
it's a day where the communities along Detroit's legendary cruising strip of
the 50's and 60's invite classic car owners to come out and cruise for the day.
They got 40,000 cars and nearly 2 million spectators this year. I was
disappointed to not see many LBCs out strutting their stuff and giving those
Detroit muscle cars a run for their money. While I'm guilty myself, having
left my Spitfire back in Washington DC, I think we should aim for a better
turnout next year to give those Corvettes and T-birds a taste of a real classic
:-) A good TR-3, MGA, or XKE convertible could beat a GTO or Camaro on looks
any day!!! How about it, Midwestern area listers !?!?
