The proper wire is specially made to be extra limp and withstand constant
flexing. Because of it's construction, it cannot be soldered. RS used to
carry it (as "phono pickup wire") but I've no idea if they still do.
Probably not many people replacing the wires in their phono pickups these
days, so I'd guess not.

The post-60K version is listed as being available on their web site. That's
no guarantee, but ISTR it was also in their recent "overstock" sale flyer,
so there's at least a good chance they have it.

The pre-60K version isn't even listed, but all you have to do to convert is
change the connector on the wire from the dizzy to the coil.
