First, I'll let others answer the TR6 side.

Second, blues used on the TR250 included Royal (the darkest; sort of a "Navy 
Blue" if you will), Valencia (fairly dark, but a bit of green in it?), and -- 
at least on some early TR250s -- Wedgwood (a fairly light and slightly greyish 
blue).

Third, I wholeheartedly agree that you can and SHOULD paint your car any color 
you want. Given how TR250s are faring in today's marketplace, keeping to AN 
original color if not THE original color might be to your advantage long-term 
-- but ONLY if you are planning on selling it in the near future. Meanwhile, 
there are a multitude of paint colors out there. Pick one you like! So long as 
you don't apply your chosen color with a driveway sealer brush, YOU'LL be 
happy, and so will 99.9% of the population when they see it. ;-)
