Just reading about welding and wanted to warn you about "playing"
i have been an auto nut since I was 16. IM near 50 now. as a younger kid i
bought a welder and just about welded every hot rod in the neighborhood. i
always used a mask but occasionally when i would nod my head for the mask to
drop,
it stayed up. flash to the eye!
i now have blind spots right in the middle of my retina, the part i think is
called the macula.its not the end of the world for me. i suffer occasional
white spots before the eyes and if i am exposed to a bright light i kinda have
a
left over bright blindness thing for a couple of minutes. it wont get worse
the doc says but its there for 30 years and for the rest of my life.
my advice is let some other silly bugger do the welding for you and stay
healthy.
