After much deliberation. I've decided to
keep my 15x6 wheels. The reason for
contemplating a move to 16x7's was
greater tire choice. I'd like to stick
with at least 60 series tires on my 15x6
wheels but there's really nothing sporting
available in that series. I'm now acquiesced
to the idea of using 55 series tires. The
55's will lower my car by approximately
.25" and create an additional .25" of
gap between the top of the tire and the
edge of the fender, neither of which am
I particularly thrilled over. In addition,
instead of losing 7% of my top speed, as
compared to the original 185/80/15 tires,
I'm now losing 10%. I don't spend much
time at top speed, but fuel mileage will
suffer, wear and tear, etc. etc. The overdrive
makes all of this a bit more acceptable.
Thanks for those interested in purchasing
my 15x6 wheels, but looks like I'll be
hanging on to them for a bit longer.
