Hello List,
I am looking into rebuilding my door hinges and I am hoping someone out
there may be able to help me find some materials. I am looking for some
steel tubing with an outer diameter is 5/8" (.0.625) and the inner
diameter is 5/16" (0.313). I have found some on McMaster-Carr that is
.625 but the inner diameter is too big. I also need some .3125 steel
rod for the hinge pin. This should probably be a harder steel than the
tubing. Length is not really important as long as it is longer than
1.50". I am planning on honing the inner diameter of the sleeve to give
me just enough slop to let the pin rotate in the sleeve. I may just be
able to drill the sleeve out with a 21/64 (0.328) drill but I need to
get some material first.
Thanks in advance.
