Being aluminum with steel liners, rather than the cast iron of the original
drums, they are a few pounds lighter. Less unsprung weight can lead to
better handling, less rotating weight can lead to better acceleration. But
I doubt the difference is worth it, unless you are going racing.

Randall's probably right, but for some folks there are other categories
besides performance.
Truth is, they look pretty cool, and that's enough for me.
