Given that all comparisons are odious, surely comparing classic cars in a
manner best suited to moderns renders the comparison meaningless?
Starting, brake feel, ride and comfort have little or nothing to do with
driving a 60s British Car
More meaningful criteria might include wind-in-your-face-ness, chuckability,
bird-pulling ability and the wideness of your shit-eating grin after a road test
Granted these are still poor criteria, but they must be better than the ones
used. Maybe the test should include living with the car for 5 years or so -
that'd produce a more accurate result!
