simple fact basically negates the rest of the article in and of itself. The
TR4
is the only car with any styling whatsever in the whole group. All the
other
cars are extremely plain loooking, especially the Alpine, which if I
remember,
scored the highest in that category. I can't imagine why it would score so
low in the aesthetics category?

I assume the Alpine here is the one converted into the Tiger and not the
50's vintage Alpine that looks nothing like the later model and I agree, it
is rather derivative in its styling. But they do have a nice folding top
stowage arrangement. The Fiat is a down market Alfa but still an
attractive car (but it is, afterall, still a Fiat), and the MGB styling is
abviously influenced by the XKE. What stikes me as interesting is the much
vaunted Datsun came in dead last.
